Whether you’re interested in service projects, fun events, educational programs, family activities, or tours, there is something for everyone. There are great prizes for runners up—but the grand prize is really special! A Yo Philly! Party in your favorite park with water-ice, soft pretzels, and a DJ spinning the sounds of Philadelphia. Wow!

LOVE Your Park Week is a collaborative initiative between the Fairmount Park Conservancy, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
Making an impact on your community can be easy. Become a part of LOVE Your Park Day by volunteering a few hours of your time on the morning of April 16 at your neighborhood park or recreation center. It’s not too late to get involved!

Let’s break a record: Last year’s LOVE Your Park Day gathered 2, 350 volunteers who donated more than 8,000 hours at more than 90 regional parks!
PHS, Philadelphia Green, and the PHS Young Friends extend great big thanks to all of the volunteers who came out Saturday, November 13, to help clean neighborhood parks. That hard work and dedication made this year’s LOVE Your Park a success.

What better way to make your neighborhood more attractive than to work side-by-side with your neighbors to clean up your nearby park? Gather your friends, kids, parents, co-workers and anyone community-minded to participate in this year’s LOVE Your Park Day, Saturday, November 13—tomorrow!
This year, as in every fall, there is a focus on leaf collection. There are several advantages to raking leaves, such as preventing storm drains from clogging , removing dangerous slippery leaves, and maintaining grass. Even better, The collected leaves will be composted, giving them a second life.
LOVE Your Park Day encompasses the whole city, so anyone can find a nearby park to volunteer at. Anyone involved with PHS Young Friends (and anyone who would like to be involved with PHS Young Friends) is encouraged to pitch in a Schuylkill River Park.
